Lauren and Mark have become fast friends since the first time I photographed them. Remember them? They are the ones who won my Mount Rainier adventure session when I first moved to Washington! If you don’t, I’ll include the link. These beauties are far away from friends and family in their new Washington home. They brought up a vow renewal in North Cascades National Park because they have been married for five years. And Lauren herself is now a Washington elopement photographer.
They expressed to me that when they got married, they didn’t fully appreciate the value of photography yet. And they secretly, always wanted an epic Washington elopement. So they decided, they would go so, totally non-traditional with their vow renewal, and live their dream of a North Cascades elopement!
Lauren chose North Cascades National Park because since she became a Washington elopement photographer, she has found this to be the most picturesque park in the state. I have to say I agree. I found myself wanting to pull over at every turn to take in the stunning beauty of the North Cascades. We trekked down to the Diablo Lake overlook and they said their vows on a moody, spring day at sunset. Her Grace Loves Lace dress whipped in the wind and Mark wanted to hold her bouquet (made by Down to Earth Snoqualmie) more than she did!
It’s this vow renewal, that reminds me why I became a Washington elopement photographer.
