Andrea and Jonny are old Florida friends from a “way back when run in at Bonarroo Music Festival. We stayed acquainted but never really kept up with each other. It was a little surprising when Andrea emailed me about photography packages for her intimate wedding. Even more so when she booked us saying “I want my photographers to be someone I know and some I love. And that’s you!” Turns out, I was very delirious after losing a lot of sleep at Bonnarroo and I totally underestimated the connection we made. But boy did we! We met up at our favorite taco place, hugged, laughed and chatted like the old friends we truly were. They are MAGNETIC. I say it in all caps because that’s how strongly I feel about it. I felt totally magnetized.
Andrea and Jonny were inspiring in the process of planning their intimate wedding in Fort Lauderdale. They decided, much like we did with our own wedding, to do away with the frills of a big wedding. They wanted an intimate wedding, something that would give them an experience with every person there. Something that completely revolved around their love. And boy did their intimate Fort Lauderdale not disappoint. Andrea’s aunt volunteered her Las Olas house for the wedding. They got ready among workout equipment, which was very fitting for two avid “cross-fitters”. Their first look was outside on the balcony, overlooking palm trees and the gorgeous bay of Fort Lauderdale. They got married in the living room, surrounded by the warmth of their friends and family, and danced the night away until 3 in the morning.
