These two were so much fun! We were in contact for months before scheduling their Deception Pass engagement shoot. So when we finally got to meet we felt immediately like old friends. We connected over our love for dogs, beer and burgers. They, like us, decided after months of planning, to scale down their wedding to something small, intimate, and adventurous. We were thrilled to see another couple with the same vision as us and who valued the intimate feel of a tiny wedding!
Alex and I had to get up at 4 AM for Erika and Ben’s Deception Pass engagement shoot. We drove two hours to the Rosario beach Parking lot and were met with the most stunning sunrise ever. It gave me that early morning energy boost I needed! I knew then, that this Deception Pass engagement shoot was going to be epic. Erika and Ben didn’t know what to do at first. They, like so many of us, grew up in the world of “smile for the camera”! We reminisced about the days in elementary school when the school photographer would place us in stiff, awkward poses then take thirty seconds to actually snap the photo while we sat with frozen smiles. I remember looking at every school photo I’d every taken and thinking “that doesn’t even look like me!”
However, once we got them giggling, they blossomed before my eyes! Their Deception pass engagement shoot is one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever done!
