We love these two. We met them at cidery in Woodinville, Washington, and they introduced me to the best green tea cider I have ever had. We clicked immediately over the owes of wedding planning and our love of the outdoors. We were shocked and thrilled to learn that these two were not only prioritizing their wedding photographers, but that they wanted us to be the kind of people that they could get a beer with.
When planning their Orcas Island engagement shoot, it took us a while to land on this island. We threw around adventurous hikes to mountain views and waterfalls, but nothing felt like them. When they suggested Orcas Island, we were so excited because they said it was their favorite place in Washington, and we couldn’t wait to see them in their element.
A little PSA about Orcas Island: we are adding it to our list of world’s best elopement locations https://limphotoandfilm.com/worlds-best-elopement-locations/ Riding the ferry out to the Island we were reminded of Croatia, and Island hopping on the Adriatic. The water was a deep, royal blue and the Island, sat looming over us. The Island itself has everything: Mountain views, beaches, a gorgeous small town, forests, and so much more. It’s the perfect Washington getaway.
We love when we set a couple loose on a shoot and they just blossom. When Hunter and Madison went to tackle their Orcas Island engagement shoot, they really meant it. They laughed, played, tickled, wrestled. They were the epitome of “just be yourselves”.
