Wondering why a Washington elopement? Imagine this: waking up before the sun, doing your makeup and dressing by moonlight, and hiking to a gorgeous mountain range to say your vows as the sun is rising. Or doing your first look at the base of an epic waterfall. Imagine popping that post-vows champagne on a moody cliff beach and running barefoot among the rock formations for your portraits. Or a magical elopement in a rainforest at sunset. This is Washington! This list of the best places to elope in Washington State merely scratches the surface of this gorgeous place. A state with dozens of magical places to explore that will take your breath away.
La Push Beach
The La Push beaches make the perfect, moody west coast beach elopement spot. There are so many beaches to choose from: Ruby Beach, Rialto Beach, Second Beach. Hop on one of these beaches for a romantic, windswept elopement in Washington on the Olympic Peninsula.
Mount Rainier National Park
This is an obvious one, and probably the most popular! Mount Rainier is an active volcano that sits high among a sweeping mountain range. She is HUGE and has her own weather system. She is definitely Washington’s biggest pride. The national park is only a couple of hours outside of Seattle and it’s the perfect place to elope in Washington State. Ashford is a town right outside the park with a ton of adorable, romantic, Airbnbs, perfect for getting ready photos and, of course, a post-elopement bonfire. North Cascades National Park
It’s hard to choose a favorite National Park in Washington, especially for a Washington elopement location. I mean we have three of them! (and many other state parks). However, if I had to choose, I think it would be the North Cascades National Park. The mountain range just bleeds a deep blue, and the alpine lakes below glimmer turquoise, especially in the summer. I think my favorite spot is a Diablo Lake elopement; an easy trek down to an overlook.
A Snoqualmie Pass elopement is an easy one! Super accessible, and so unbelievably beautiful! Go to Gold Creek Pond and get a stunning Mountain backdrop for your elopement. Or if you want a waterfall elopement, hike to Franklin Falls!
There are many options are available for an Orcas Island elopement. It’s a small, quaint, beautiful Island. If you want a quiet and coastal elopement, choose the San Juans. The ferry ride to the island alone is so gorgeous. Go get married on the beach, then have dinner at a romantic local restaurant, enjoy some local brews and then retire to a quaint bed and breakfast on the Island, overlooking the ocean.
You guys! I think Treehouse Point has made it on every blog post I’ve done. If you are dreaming up a gorgeous, fairytale elopement, in your own enchanted forest, then choose Treehouse Point! Just imagine waking up in your very own, romantic treehouse and then getting ready with the birds chirping around you, and getting married among the moss covered trees and a stream trickling behind you. It sounds like a dream to me! To book your Treehouse Point elopement, click here https://www.treehousepoint.com/H
Deception Pass is an amazing and accessible Washington elopement location. It’s definitely a Washington hidden gem. The Rosario Head cliffside is the most epic and stunning elopement spot in the State Park!
